CIAC once again succeeded in securing further Pop-up vaccination Clinics within close proximity of London Chinatown! The dates are 17th and 26th July 2021, at St Anne’s Church and China Exchange respectively. A total of over 2,500 vaccines (both Pfizer and AZ) were successfully given in the previous 5 events.
Among the Community who benefited from the Pop-up vaccination clinics, ‘A Wei’ (pseudonym), who received the first dose of AstraZeneca on 27 May, has now successfully received the second dose on 28 June. He praised the team’s thoughtful arrangements, safely arranging for everyone and providing translation services for those non English speakers who came to vaccinate. Ms Nickie Aiken MP and Councillor Tim Mitchell also visited the clinic on 28 June to cheer for the medical team, the members of the public who came to vaccinate and the volunteers!
Edmond Yeo JP, Chairman of the Chinese Information and Advice Centre, welcomed the Westminster City Council and the NHS’s thoughtfulness to the Chinese community. The Chinese Information and Advice Centre will continue to fight for the Chinese community to provide free vaccination services in London Chinatown.
