According to the United Nations nearly 1 in 5 women between 15-49 years of age have experienced physical and/or sexual violence by an intimate partner.
Violence against women is not simply a “women’s issue”. We need men and boys to play an active part in dismantling the culture of male violence, abuse and harassment against women and girls. 25th of November is International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, otherwise known as White Ribbon Day.
As part of the campaign, CIAC is asking men and boys to take White Ribbon Campaign (UK)‘s online pledge to condemn violence against women. But this campaign isn’t just about taking an oath and wearing a ribbon, it’s also about contacting your local MPs and councillors, researching the issues, supporting local initiatives that tackle violence against women and so much more.
